Laura Byrch

Laura serves as Pastor of Community Engagement at Boone UMC and as Pastor of Blackburn's Chapel in Todd, NC. She is actively involved in local initiatives related to immigrant justice, racial equity, economic and housing justice, food justice, and creating a resilient, trauma-informed community. Laura is passionate about exploring what white accompliceship looks like in her rural context, following the leadership of local leaders of color. She brings to this project a curiosity for how liberating church communities are reshaping our society and transforming faith.
