Symone Williams

Symone is currently a final year master’s candidate at Yale Divinity School in the Black Religion of the African Diaspora concentration. Alongside her B.A. in Justice, Community, and Leadership, professionally, Symone identifies as an advocate, educator, and justice seeker dedicated to forging liberatory practices into everyday actions, and most importantly, centering Black joy. She also runs a small business, Funk & the Sun, where she makes clay earrings by hand while raising mutual aid funds for Black, Indigenous, POC, and queer communities. She has served as a research assistant for the project contributing her skills in graphic design, event planning, data organization, and theological writing.
